Character Guidelines
1. NO PERFECTIONS! :: The most important thing to remember when creating your character is that your character is not permitted to be perfect. Everybody has flaws and claiming that you are perfect is a flaw in itself, however not one I'd be willing to accept as an excuse for perfection. Perfection in any manner will get your application rejected.
2. Read the Plot and Sub-Plots :: If you are choosing to take on the role of a canon character, you must be well versed with their sub-plot (if they have one) and the main plot of the website. Failure to demonstrate functional knowledge of either of these will result in the rejection of your application.
3. Wait to make your Sig :: I would not suggest creating your signature banner and avatar until your character has been created. If that character is already taken you'll be obligated to take your banners off. Avatar and Signature specifications can be found in the Information board.
4. Jobs and Classes :: Every adult character MUST have a job. There are many to choose from in the Job Market board, and you can also be a member of the Professional Quidditch teams. That does count as a Job. Students MUST be enrolled and active in at least one class.
5. One Character Per Username :: You may only have one character per USERNAME. However, if you can handle more characters, you may have as many as you please.
6. Restricted Canons on Multiple Accounts :: If you do choose to play more than one character, you will probably not be allowed to play two canons. I say probably because if they are not the main canons it might be okay. But you are not allowed to play two rival canons under any circumstances. For instance, one person can't play both Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy.
7. NO REPETITION OF NAMES :: And lastly, PLEASE look over the names of the other members before choosing your name. I don't want 15 Sarah's running around. Repetition of names is very confusing and even more annoying. If you have your heart set on a name I won't force you to change it, but just so that you are forewarned, if you have applied with the same name as someone else on the forum, I will ask you if you are willing to change it depending on the other character's activity.
These rules have been put in place to benefit the experience of all members. I will always be here to discuss any problems you might have. If you wish to debate a rule, I am more than happy to defend my reasoning.
